These fractions were later on dried at 75°C until they reach a constant weight and their dry weights were recorded. Leaf area was measured using the Leaf Area meter (LI-3100 Area Meter, LI-COR, Biosciences). Other derived- parameters such as leaf mass fraction (lwr) or relative growth rate (rgr) can be computed from the initial biomass data.
