Saturated water content per Horizon and per Soil Type

Hierarchy level
Dataset
Statement

Method:

- In situ undisturbed soil sampling;

- 24 hours saturation in laboratory;

- saturated sample weight determination;

- Oven-drying (ISO 17892, 2004).

- dried sample weight determination:

θs= (mw -md ) ρ)/V*100

Where θs (Vol.%) refers to the saturated water content ; mw (g) is the weight of the saturated sample; md (g) is the weight of dried sample; ρ (g/cm3) represents the density of water and V (cm3) the volume of the cylinder
