Statement

Representative soil units were chosen for sampling, based on existing soil and land use maps as well as on a digital elevation model (DEM) of the watershed.

Topsoil samples from both auger and profile were described from August to October 2012 and from August to October 2013 over the entire study area, resulting in more than 1000 samples. Here we consider a depth of 0 - 30cm.

Spectral data were extracted from RapidEye and Landsat imagery using a resolution of 5 m.
