Statement
At each aboveground biomass assessment, whole plants were cut from three randomly selected plant stands in the outer bordered rows. The fresh aboveground biomass was chopped, mixed, and weighed with a portable scale and subsampled. The subsamples were weighed and oven-dried at 70°C till constant weight. The oven-dried samples were weighed again and dry matter content extrapolated to kg dry matter per ha.
