Statement

Harvestable fraction of maize (EVDT), sorghum (local), and cotton (H-279-1)were taken from net plots after physiological maturity, weighed, subsumpled, ovendried until constant for dry matter assessment, and next extrapolated to kg/ha

For Aboveground biomass, crop stovers were cut from the net plots after harvest, chopped, mixed, and weighed. Sub-samples were taken, oven-dried at 70°C till constant weight to assess moisture content and dry matter.

Sub-samples of harvestable fraction and stover sent to laboratory for Plant N and P contents analysis.
