It describes several household characteristics such as age, gender, income sources, agricultural production levels, Occurrence of droughts and floods as well as the impact of these hazards. The data also include several derived parameters such as household income, household size in adult equivalent scale, Tropical livestock units and poverty prevalence. The objective was to systematically collect household data to aid in the quantification of risk and vulnerability to multiple hazards of droughts and floods. This dataset will be used to estimate the vulnerability and risk profiles of rural communities in West Africa. Credit to all field assistance who supported the field data collection. Data was obtained through direct household interviews and surveys. The data was entered in to predefined MS Access template and later exported into Ms.Excel for per-processing. The data was cleaned to remove outliers and and all values manually inspected to ensure they conform to expert knowledge. Several other fields were added to derive secondary indicators.
