The layers show the boundaries of three watersheds in West-Africa: Vea, Dano, and Dassari. The catchments are key-research areas in the WASCAL Core Research Program.

Purpose
The Catchments are part of the research areas of the WASCAL Core Research Program. Within one ecological zone they cover different land use intensities to study the interaction of land ecosystems with land use systems facing climate change. The goal is to develope land use scenarios adapted to climate change for this ecological zone.
