Household survey conducted in the Vea watershed of Burkina Faso between the periods May 2013 to February 2014. It describes several household characteristics such as age, gender, income sources, agricultural production levels, Occurrence of droughts and floods as well as the impact of these hazards. The data also include several derived parameters such as household income, household size in adult equivalent scale, Tropical livestock units and poverty prevalence.

Elephant movement patterns within three districts in northern Togo especially in the surrounding areas of Oti-Keran-Mandouri complex of protected areas were assessed by a social survey across the study area following a stratified random sampling method. About 462 persons were interviewed. Three categories of villages falling into the following ranges 0 – 2 km, 2 – 5 km, and 5 – 10 km were considered in each of the three prefectures straddled by the park. Semi-structured interviews were conducted using questionnaires in focus groups and by selecting individuals informants randomly. Questions were related to the knowledge of elephant movement, the frequency of elephant migration from 2010 to 2013, their feeding resources. Human-elephant conflict events were also explored especially crop riding.
